Meet Heather
Supporting women through midlife transitions
Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
This isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what we believe in. We’re here to create work that matters, led by a shared commitment to quality and care.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Heather spent 11 years as a high school teacher. During that time, she witnessed the challenges faced by students living with complex trauma.
The tragic deaths of several students reinforced Heather’s desire to address the gaps in support available to people experiencing difficult and desperate circumstances. This experience inspired her to pursue a Master’s degree in psychology and specialize in trauma recovery.
A Journey Rooted in Education
Today, Heather’s private practice supports people navigating trauma, PTSD, and abusive relationships. She also shares her message of healing through podcast appearances, virtual summits, speaking engagements, and community events.
Her experience includes working with children and youth, first responders, military veterans, and Ukrainian refugees. Through this work, Heather has seen how deeply trauma can affect individuals, families, and communities around the world.
She is passionate about raising awareness of trauma’s pervasive impact and advocating for systemic changes that protect survivors from being retraumatized, particularly within the legal system.
Clinical Work and Advocacy
Beyond her clinical practice, Heather is deeply committed to humanitarian work. She previously lived and worked as a teacher in the Dominican Republic and continues to support long-term development projects through her local Rotary club and Rotary International.
Her annual visits to the Dominican Republic remain personally meaningful and reflect her commitment to supporting communities facing significant challenges.
In 2022, Heather also hosted three Ukrainian families who had fled the war. This experience further shaped her understanding of trauma’s global impact and strengthened her commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
A Commitment to Humanitarian Work
Heather brings together educational, clinical, humanitarian, and personal experience in her approach to trauma recovery. Her work is grounded in compassion, cultural awareness, and a deep understanding of the complex realities faced by survivors of trauma and abuse.
Through her clinical practice, education, writing, advocacy, and international humanitarian work, Heather continues to help individuals and communities feel understood, supported, and empowered in their healing.
